Last night saw two FA Cup matches take place, Bristol City beat basket case Bolton 2-1 at Ashton Gate. The second match was a slightly bigger affair that saw Arsenal host Man United. It was the visitors who prevailed 3-1, extending the winning streak to 8 since Solskjaer came in.
Today we have pinpointed two bets to deliver for visitors in the early game. The match is a 12.30pm kick-off between Accrington and Derby. It will be available to watch on BT Sport.
Frank Lampard’s Derby have already acquitted themselves well in cup competition this season with notably good performances against Hull away (4-0 win), Chelsea away (3-2 loss) and Man United away (won on pens).
To get to this stage of the competition they beat Southampton in the last round, after drawing 2-2 at home they played out the same scoreline away before winning another penalty shootout this season.
There is unlikely to be much rotation of players for the Championship team who find themselves 6th and in the play-off positions. Momentum is key and Lampard himself has expressed his appreciation of the competition, he will field a strong side.
Accrington are currently plying their trade in League 1. Their current form is a disappointing W1, D1, L4. This has been largely down to scoring 3 goals in those 6 games. They’ve failed to get on the scoresheet in 4 of their last 6.
Class should prevail here and knowing they are approaching the match in the right way only solidifies our belief in The Rams here.
The 1×2 odds of 8/13 are definitely acceptable and we can add a smaller bet on the slightly more ambitious outcome of Derby winning by 2 clear goals.
