The odds movements since the market was formed have been spectacular. It was created at a time when Mourinho was still at United and they couldn’t do anything right. That said, Paris had Neymar and Cavani healthy then, not now.
The hosts have been in terrific form since Jose left and Solksjaer came in. Unbeaten in 11 games, winning 10 of them. The fact that every attacking player on the squad pretty much has been scoring and assisting since his arrival suggests the shackles are well and truly off.
The Parisians have failed to win 3 of their last 8 games which given the level of opposition in the French League and Cup, is concerning. Tied in with Neymar’s absence, naturally they haven’t been as fluent as normal.
So momentum is with the Red Devils but there is still some serious experience and talent in the PSG ranks. We envisage that they will be wily enough to get a result to take back to France. They are likely to approach the game cautiously and pin hopes on counter attacks, a fair strategy with Mbappe taking on a back four of United that you wouldn’t describe as quick.
A speculative effort can be taken on United making a now customary fast start and Paris finding a way back in 2nd half. Peculiar odds of 15/1 look like genuine value.
