Dragon Command ran very green when making his debut at Doncaster in late April. The selection was also denied a clear run but managed to still go down by less than 2 lengths. The winner that day was Iva Reflection, who has gone on to finish a half length second in the Lily Agnes at Chester.
That race franks the form well and with improvement almost guaranteed from first run to second, there is plenty to like about George Scott’s charge today. The only other runners in the race with racecourse experience are the 50 and 66/1 outsiders who shaped with no promise at all in their first runs.
Our experience edge, natural expected improvement and the fact the first race form has been franked means that the 3/1 on offer with William Hill has to be taken.
