Burnley v Liverpool
17:30 @ Turf Moor
Two confident teams meet this early evening in Lancashire and it should be an entertaining affair for those watching. Read on for the info that matters and our predictions for the game.
Burnley have taken 4 points from their opening 3 matches. According to all the important performance metrics, they should have at least drawn if not beaten Arsenal who they ultimately lost to agonisingly.
Liverpool are 3 from 3 and their most recent outing against Arsenal was probably their best effort this term. The game prior against Southampton could have ended in a draw but for wayward finishing from the Saints’ front men.
Clean sheets have been few and far between for the two teams this season with Burnley claiming the only one on the opening weekend.
Both teams have scored in the last 3 games between the clubs. The best odds on that happening again this evening are 10/11 with Sport Nation and that makes appeal. Until Alisson is back, it’s a bet that will pay off in Reds’ away matches.
Dyche will understand how best to try and nullify Liverpool and his side can definitely frustrate sides. Their physical presence is something that’s perhaps overplayed as they definitely have some quality on the ball too.
That being said, there is sometimes only one way to stop Mane and Salah, his men will know that. That should lead to cards both for them and possibly the visitors if growing frustrated.
The most likely candidates on the away side are Henderson, Fabinho and Milner but they are unlikely to all play. Burnley however, have cards in them all across the pitch in a game like this and a bet on them to win the card count looks good at 19/20 with William Hill.
