The pro-football season starts this week with an awesome game between Green Bay and Chicago in the Windy City. That is set to be one of the best Thursday Night Football game of the year and I’m encouraging all to tune in.
For the past 3 to 4 weeks I’ve been watching pre-season and running an insane amount of simulations based mostly on numbers from last season. I’ve got plenty of angles for betting football this season ahead and the first gem we have is here, read on!
This post is reserved for just THE BEST NFL PRE-SEASON BETTING TIP, there will be more over the coming days with other value bets in the Futures. I make this a maximum stake bet which according to the sensible Green Room money management rules, is 3% of your roll.
Betting Market: Regular Season Team Wins
Tip: Under 6 Cincinnati Wins
Odds: UK 5/6, Euro 1.83, US -120
Bookmaker: William Hill
Here’s why I fell on this bet;
- Early money in these markets generally pretty informative. When first opening, the over 6 was a strong favourite but that’s been totally adjusted and in some shops, the line is 5.5 only slightly favouring the over.
- New head coach, offensive and defensive coordinators – that’s a completely new group and there are too many new systems and styles to get to grips with in a pre-season. Expect particularly poor form in the first 8 games.
- One of the worst offensive lines last season and they’ve lost experience there and are carrying injuries into the new season.
- A J Green, top wide receiver isn’t fully fit and could miss 1st and 2nd week.
Thanks for reading, make sure you get that number and I’ll catch you Thursday for the best bets on the Chicago game – @VikingJF
