Defence was on top in the season opener between Chicago and Green Bay on Thursday Night Football. It was the Packers who prevailed 10-3 in that one but be careful to not write off the Bears who will always be in games – instead, aim to make money on the unders in their matches.
This evening sees a couple of interesting games but this early in the piece, only one that makes appeal from a betting perspective. We have a nice play for the 6pm TV game shown on Sky Sports in which the very, very well talked up Cleveland Browns host the Tennessee Titans.
The Browns are one of the big talking teams of this and were last pre-season to an extent. This season, 9 wins are expected from the team that managed to only record 1 over both the 2016 and 2017 campaigns.
7 wins last season should be matched this time around but this team will offer little value to gamblers in general it seems as they are just all over the news, forums and Vegas as a team to get with.
KEY MAN – Nick Chubb (Cleveland running back)
If the Titans defence can shut Chubb down, they’ll go a long way to winning this match. Dean Pees the D coordinator at Tennessee will try to force a passing game, something his side are better adept at dealing with.
NOTEWORTHY – Odell Beckham’s arrival in Cleveland has only served to give them more TV time and column inches. Over-hype should provide us with plenty of spots to make value bets against them in some shape or form. Here’s a couple for this evening!
Play Tennessee To Score First with Mr Green at UK 5/4, Euro 2.25, US +125
Play Tennessee +3.5 First Half Spread with William Hill at UK 20/23, Euro 1.87, US -115
