Welcome back folks and today we have one stand-out tip. There were a couple of good spots this week but when the crunch was on for the best value, it’s the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who warrant a wager tonight.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ LA Rams
Having kept a very close eye on the Rams during pre-season and in the first 3 weeks, I’m not impressed. Don’t be fooled by their 3-0 start, all is not well in LA. Here’s their 3-0 summarised with one sentence per win.
- Played a Brown’s team that look totally inconsistent and look like they are playing with strangers.
- They also managed to get an experimental Saints who were without their QB.
- Finally, they came up against a 50% at best Cam Newton who was nursing an injury.
There are a combination of reasons for their drop in performances but primarily it’s the QB Jared Goff. That’s the one place you wouldn’t want issues right? He’s down by at least two yards per attempt this season compared to last, that’s significant. It’s hard to imagine it being his decision making solely and is highly likely to be a directive from the coaching team.
In contrast to the Rams overachievement, Tampa can consider themselves a little unfortunate to be 1-2 going into this. A very simple field goal missed last week against the Giants stopped them being 2-1. We are talking about a middling team here in the NFL and they shouldn’t be getting a ten point start against a team who will be 5th or 6th best this year.
