Here is the second part of today’s Cheltenham Festival Day 1 betting preview. We had hoped to see one bookie stick their neck out and go five places each-way here which was a little fanciful so it’s the four places at 1/5 the odds.
There are question marks over several at the front of the market and we think it would be prudent to draw a line through Not So Sleepy’s last run in the Betfair Hurdle where a standing start scuppered his chances immediately.
Forgiving that day, you have to be massively impressed with Hughie Morrison’s charge since switching codes and taking up hurdling.
His run style should prevent him from having any traffic issues or being brought down by another runner, the ground holds no fears and we can get 28/1 with Bet365 which looks far too big.
365 have their usual ITV racing promotion running which will see us rewarded with a free bet up to £50 if our selection wins. The free bet is equal to the win part of any each-way bet and must be used on the next live TV race.
